quick question .big off on bend covered with diesel anyone had any joy getting some money off the local council ? is it worth the effort ?
a friend of mine rolled his car on diesel. and was badly hurt the police found the vehicle that caused the spill. he got a massive pay out.
I think there are two issues. Did the council know about the spill and fail to do anything about it. or Can you trace the vehicle responsible for the spill.
From what i remember, if the spill is unreported the first crasher gets nothing, if they've been made aware of it and not cleaned it, everyone gets money whether they're the first or not. It's always tough getting anything from the council, but well worth a go. What have you got to lose? Good luck and i hope you're ok.
Well council pays out quite easy for pothole damage so would say worth giving it a go? Were there any cameras there if so it might help trace the car doing the spilling.
