On Sunday 21 July the Sammy Miller museum, New Milton, Hants is having its Italiano Day. Last year's was cancelled because of appalling weather, perhaps luck will improve this year. Again, I propose to go. Anyone else? Peter Sammy Miller Museum, New Milton The finest collection of fully restored motorcycles in Europe
Think this is a pay to enter event, so even if you want to go and just munch around the bikes parked in the car park and grab a coffee, it costs yer a few quid (cant remember if a fiver or a tenner) we went cple of years ago and moved straight on do to Swanage for chips and ice cream on the beach. Was the better option
i think you pay a small fee to get into the bike area and the courtyard where they do the displays and you can get food and drink, its then extra to go into the museum IIRC I'll probably be there, its about 10 minutes up the road
I'd love to go but it's a 450 mile trip for me. Let us know how it goes and say hi to the Lamas for me.
As per their events section: It is MotoItaliano ONLY at the Museum on Sunday 21st July. Entrance charge is £5 to the Complex which will include a free raffle ticket for MotoItaliano and discounted entrance to the Museum itself. The date is set for a full blown MotoItaliano Day at the Museum on Sunday 21st July 2013. Watch this site and press for full details. Two parades featuring Fifty Classic Italian Motorcycles (from the 1930's to the 1980's) featuring six from the Museum's own collection including: Moto Guzzi V8, Moto Guzzi Bicilindrical 500, Mondial GP 250, MV Agusta 750, Linto 500 and Aermacchi 350 plus a special guest race bike to be announced..... Club stands with catering and BBQ
Sorry, after proposing this run it now looks as if I shall not be able to go myself. Many apologies & good luck to anyone who makes it. Peter
