Reds take on the Brumbies on Sat night. I'm hoping for a good, solid win to kick the season off though the Brumbies look better on paper this year and could be more settled. Should be a good battle! Woooo!
It's a marketing war with the NRL etc - they start earlier, get the fans in with some footy but there are 26 regular season games in the NRL and to stretch the season out to compete SANZAR have come up with this system of byes. That's my guess anyway. Still doesn't look great when there's only two games in your opening round!
Pretty similar really. I've picked the Rebels to get up and my beloved Reds to knock the Brumbies off with a 7 pt margin. Brumbies could be Aus best chance in the finals - I really rate Lealiifano and they've picked up Pocock too. Mowen is looking good and Horwill is a spectator.
