1200 Super Sprox

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by GTmorgan, Feb 6, 2024.

  1. Have Supersprox stopped making the tri-metal rear sprockets for the Multi?
Can't find a 42t in the UK, few in Germany on eBay but I'll likely be hit with high import duties.

  2. I had been looking too, they’re like hens teeth!

  3. Yeah, not common are they!

Having scoured the internet some more, I can get a 525 rear Supersprox and pair that up with a Diavel front sprocket, which is 525 as standard, then add a 525 chain, not worried about a slightly narrower chain, bikes way above the power of the multi use these as standard without issue.
I can't see any fitment issues with the Diavel front sprocket, unless anyone tells me otherwise?

  4. The one I am buying is running a 525 chain, so might be worth asking @Android853sp what he used.

  5. Cheers, I'll await his input.
Front sprocket from the Diavel looks to fit the old 1000DS Multi too, I think I have a new one of those in the shed.

  6. @GTmorgan, You blinked :joy:, posted at the same time. Andy

  7. That was quick!
Looks like a JTF 741.15 is the DS1000 and Diavel sprocket so will be fine then, thanks.

  8. For anyone needing to order from Europe, I'm happy double shipping if you want to avoid import fees. I'll simply send as a gift.

Ping me if you want my help.

  9. Supersprox are manufactured in Ukraine which i suspect is why stock is scarce.

  10. Sorted now, got a 525 42t rear, Diavel 15t front and ZVMX 525 110 link chain. I never really had any issues with the standard gearing, just interested to see what all the fuss is about from those who've gone down the 42t rear route, as it seems many have.
I would've liked the gold disc but couldn't find that option, if anyone has one lying around I'd be interested.

  11. The last conversation I had with Supersprox, they were moving over to a different system where the sprockets use an insert. The inserts are simply screwed to the sprocket and can be changed for a different colour if so minded. Still tri-metal

  12. I went down a tooth on the front on my 1260 and along with the mapping from the full termi system, it transforms the bike. Much smoother, more responsive, calmer at slower speeds. There are no downsides

  13. Mine came with the gold insert you mention. I haven't used it as, to me, it's a bit of bling I don't need, but I expect others will like it, At least there is that option available.

  14. Yeah, I couldn't find these in the UK, just a sprocket with a single colour option and not gold. Plenty in Europe but then the cost escalates with shipping and import tax, don't mind a bit of bling, if it's a no cost option, but it would end up quite a chunk more.

  15. PM if you want and I can send the gold insert I have - just pay p&p. Note that it screws on so you will need the matching tapped holes on your sprocket for it to work, though I suppose it could be glued in place.

  16. Very kind of you! Is yours a 42t? I doubt the 525 will be any different to the 530 so that shouldn't matter, I'll wait for mine to arrive and check that it has the changeable disc, if so I'll drop you a message, thanks very much, that's why we love this forum!

  17. You are welcome, and yes, it's 42 teeth.

  18. I am pretty sure that all the inserts fit all the relevant sprockets irrespective of pitch or tooth count as the centre mount remains constant. Next time I speak with DJ at Supersprox though, I will ask him to be 100%.
