At the risk of getting screamed and shouted by the rugby fans I’d just like to say that this year’s Superbowl was a really exciting game (for a change). Lead and momentum changes, last minute kick to win it and some incredible plays. I admit I recorded it and then watched it this morning so I could wiz through all the ad breaks (and 95% of the halftime show). I’ve always enjoyed the NFL over the years ever since I first saw my first Superbowl highlights on the World of Sport and then the early Channel 4 coverage. I can’t be bothered to watch the live games on Sky (because I don’t have sky sports and my wife would divorce me) but I usually hunt out the edited recaps. In the past I would sit up and watch it live and we would often have a party and I was staying with friends in Florida once which was great fun.
I have to agree... This year's Superbowl was a very entertaining game ( only let down by the abysmal half-time show ). I watched the whole thing live on ITV. And, to be fair, more interesting than any of the Six Nations games I have seen so far this year...
Rather gladiatorial and IMO relatively pointless. I went to see a game once at Wembley, when some matches were played there and enjoyed the bar a lot more, but each to their own and I'm glad people enjoy different things. Touchdown........
I too have tried umpteen times to fathom it. I agree with Fairy (unusually ). Its way too stop/star and too statistical. Get on with it ffs.
It’s an hours game expanded or stretched out over three hours for crying out loud, and what’s with all this hanky chucking about ?
So, you have described just about every sport shown on television …….. with the exception of motorcycle racing of course Andy
Even college football is massive in America. We had a look at the ground of louisiana state University. It holds more than Wembley
