Superpole seat

  1. Hi, I have a 848evo and I am looking to put a Superpole seat on it.

Can I have some feedback on the comfort of this seat compaired to standard.

    Thanks

  2. Excellent, stops ya nads hitting the tank  as long as you currently don't have problems touching down with your feet as it raises you up a bit, better for me with rearsets as it increases the distance to the pegs:upyeah:

  3. what nads Roy?

  4. I had one and sold it on. As Dementor said, it was a good piece of kit stopped slippage and the looked great IMO. Thing is if your a short arse like me it raises you up, increases stretch to the bars and pegs, which I just hated and went back to Neoprene seat. If your tall and find the bike cramped it would be the Dogs (or cats depending on where you live). Oh and quality is good I was annoyed it had to go

  5. Old Jock - how tall are you? I am 5'7" and at moment cant put feet flat ut fancy the seat - my bike is a bit raised up at the back ( i think) and am about to drop it slightly on ride height

  6. What is this seat made of? I've got Ducati Performance one which I keep changing back for a stock one because it's not waterproof :frown:

  7. Looks like an hot water bottle...

I'm 5' 7" as well. That said its a personal thing I just don't like not being able to put both feet down and the feeling of being perched on top of the bike. You may be fine with it but all the people who seem to rave about it are taller guys.

    Iceman

Not sure of the precise material but its covered with some sort of rubber based compound. Although I never had it out in the wet it did get soaked a few times when washing the bike and could be dried easily with a cloth. Water didn't seem to impregnate it.

As far as taste goes some people really liked the look others absolutely loathed it, each to their own

  9. i dont get it....whats superpole about a comfort seat?

Superpole implies racing or race which is a total contradiction to a comfort seat........

Its not comfy its fffff'n rock hard, I heard they used them in BSB and the like. Its pretty grippy, you stay put and its saves yer nads with the pommel at the front. I liked it as well cause it covered where the side panels join

  11. I have one of these on my bike, love it. It's kinda sculpted and pretty grippy so I don't end up sliding down it anymore. It is pretty solid, but with the sculpting I mentioned it feels very comfortable (should be noted though that I seemed to have picked up a bit of extra padding around that over the years that may help the comfort!). I'm 6'3" too so the extra lift is most welcome and although I found it pushed more weight onto my arms I got used to it pretty quickly. All in all, I am extremely happy with it.

If you are unsure maybe pop to a dealers and see if you can get one on the bike to give you a feel for it. I got mine from JHP and the guy popped it on for me to try before I bought it.
