1260 Suspension Upgrade

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by freshage, Jul 19, 2023.

  1. One of the last areas of upgrade I'd like to do to my bike is lower the weight with lighter wheels (any suggestions?) and look into replacing the front forks for ohlins from the pikes peak. I believe the rear is the same across models?

Is this worth it? I'll be holding onto the 1260 as long as I can, maybe then I'll jump onto the V4. So I'm thinking long term usage.

I mostly tour when I ride with the odd weekend blast and few track days here and there.

Forgot to add, it would be nice to keep the electronics.

  2. Is the 1260 front, wide track the same as a Panigale or the same as the Multistrada 1200 ? Andy

  3. 1260 is same as 1200 Andy, narrow track.

  4. I have a Panigale V4S rear and a Hypermotard 950SP front, on my track Multistrada. They both have the same spoke pattern and I’m led to believe one of the Pikes Peak had lightweight wheels. I’m watching eBay for another ‘pair’ but people want stupid money for a second hand wheel. OZ do a nice wheel, the Piega but it’s on back order. They do make a huge difference. Andy
