Surprised Haslam was fit enough to race that distance after watching him limp down the pitlane the other week. Great result for him and should help his career with Honda.
If Schwantz can come third, it just shows how the prestige and level of the event has changed now. In the old days, they made the top GP riders race there and the cream of Japanese riders. It used to be the biggest big race in the world (and one I dream of attending). I had heard that it was a shadow of its former self.
In the old days Joey Dunlop did his fastest lap ever whilst winning the formula one at the ripe old age of 48 about the same age as schwantz is now. Fast guys are always fast.
He only did one stint apparently not that I'm knocking him, amazing job all round... Even more so for Haslam
