  1. I changed my job in January & decided the only way to get there in a reasonable time at rush hour was to buy a cheap commuter bike...Mrs mentioned a Suzuki Bandit....I had other ideas!!

    I bought a Suzuki GSXR 750 SRAD!!

When I bought the bike I went through it totally, stripped all the plastics off, full service, including oil, filter, plugs, air filter & battery. I changed the brake fluid, stripped & cleaned the brakes, stripped cleaned & re-greased suspension linkage & balanced throttle bodies. The bike has been 100% reliable & has not missed a beat in 6,300 miles of use, through all weathers.

It's registered 99 on a S plate, it's a WW model (first of the injection models), classic blue/white Suzuki colours, in good nick (there are some age related marks, as you would expect with a bike of its age, but nothing nasty), It's done 26,300 miles (this will go up), good Bridgestone tyres, front recently replaced, rear is brand new, good chain & sprockets. The bike has a Remus carbon can which is nice but not too loud, original can & pillion seat included. MOT until May 2016, flew through with only advisories being the front tyre (which was replaced) and the non-standard exhaust. The bike rides very well, with no issues.

The model is fast becoming a "modern classic", with prices very stable, if not rising slightly & the bike is a total all rounder, good commuter, not too uncomfortable to tour on & still a very able sports bike.

The bike is totally standard, except the exhaust can, the footrests have been anodised blue & the heal guards have been chrome plated (badly & not to my taste, but has not bothered me enough to replace them).

The bike has some service history, but it's not complete. Looking at the old MOT certificates, the bike wasn't used too much before I bought it. I've been offered a very low mileage GSXR 1000 for a price I can't miss, so that's the only reason to sell the 750. I would keep it, but the Mrs has put her foot down (I've already got 2 Dukes sitting in the garage).

    I'm looking for £1,750 ono.

    I will post photos ASAP.

    Thanks for looking,
    Steve.
