No, but do remember that the DVT has a lot more steering lock than the pre-DVT model which means that the handlebars encroach further on the tank both sides. Therefore it is only possible to fit a small tank top bag. The one Ducati supply as a luggage option (complete with ring mounting), although fairly small, is thus the largest bag it would be feasible to fit. That's the one I have and it is usefully wired for internal USB and 12volt changing points. An SW Motech ring from a pre-DVT Multi would no doubt fit (given that the fuel fillers are compatible), but I imagine their bags would be too big.
The bars are on full lock and go under the bag by 15mm. I don't think this will interfere with your riding in my opinion
Hi Steve, Thanks just one last question, did you use a old style "standard" tankring or an "evo" tankring and any chance of a pic without the bag attached. Cheers
This is very helpful. Provided the bag is mounted high enough up, the handlebars will fit underneath at the edges. And the bag can be tall at the top and extend well towards the rear without being a problem. The shape and proportions of the bag become critical - even quite a large bag might fit, but only if its shape was exactly right.
I think the ring is the Evo, I'll take a photo of it tonight in situ. The bars do give the bag a nudge as they pass underneath, but as it's only 10mm I'm more than happy to use it. The only time i'm on full lock (if ever) is when I'm doing about 2mph with my feet down so don't see it as a problem, but others might.
