It annoys me. Is there a good reason why I shouldn't remove it?

Borrow a hair dryer from the Mrs and warm it up a bit and it will peel straight off..........

don't do it you will devalue your panni by 5k because some ducati anorach will say its not original,

I took mine off and stuck it under the pillion cover for future reference.
