Seriously, it looks the best, is the strongest and the lightest. Some forum 'evidence' here about the weight: Swingarm mass - Ducati.ms - The Ultimate Ducati Forum SS swingarm weights - Ducati.ms - The Ultimate Ducati Forum Superior IE swingers comes in at 8.9lb vs 8.2 if you cross the analyses. Unfortunately my argument vs the skinny alloy one might be easily disproven. I wouldn't have anything less on my SS. I don't think the 900 carbies really need the extra strength though.....
Mines alright................It's from one of the earlier 900ss with the thinner brace, so on a 750 SS who bloody cares?........but I suppose it is better than the steel OEM one.
I had to buy a crashed 1000ds to get one. But got arm and ohlins for nothing after selling on leftovers.
I did exactly the same matey [emoji1303][emoji41] It does shorten the wheel base a bit too, every little helps [emoji6]
Look what I found on t'EBay DUCATI 900SS 900 SS SUPERSPORT METMACHEX POLISHED AND BRACED SWINGARM | eBay Made just down the road from me. Not cheap tho' buying direct will save you a few quid. Lovely bit of kit. Shiney, shiney...
heck that's gone up a bit sure they were only £650 a while back ..... just checked my old thread on that swinger last year it was only £645 lol
I bought one for a shade under £400. Mind, that was a very, very long time ago and collected from the factory...
That is exactly why I kept the OEM steel one when I fitted the 900ss one to my 750............"Just in case"
