I did the same. I had the 1098SF and loved it. I bought that off the back of a Monster 1100 but much preferred the aggressive character of the SF. I did sell it though, chucked it in for a Tuono and regretted it. The Tuono was a much 'better' bike, easier to ride and make quick progress but lacked the character of the SF. I bought the Monster 1200R as the most potent naked Ducati produced at the time. It was a great bike, no real issues and fun to ride. And then sold that out end of last year for a V4S SF. The SF is more of a handful but I like that.
I am a firm believer that Ducatis should be red, but the matt black looks good too.. Enjoy the bike!!
