this was taken in Switzerland on the weekend by an old work friend, looks like the back end of a 916 or similar. Not sure I would venture out in those conditions.
Sadly wrong bit of the country. Switzerland is small, but it's not that small. And mountains make getting around more complicated. It's about two and a half times the size of Wales, so they say.
Great biking country....tunnels with waterfalls / streams running through them can be an issue on a bike. Susten pass....all day long !!! Brrrrraaaaap !!
I would say no worse than in the UK. There are fewer automatic cameras and no electronic signs admonishing you for your speed. In fact, I find it's a much nicer experience than biking in the UK, as I feel it is less "Big Brother-ish". But you do need to be a little wary around the most popular passes at weekends. The Bill can be out in a show of strength, although to be fair, plenty of bikers do manage to wipe themselves out on these dangerous roads. They tend to be the sort of places where you won't get a second chance if you do cock it up big time. I have only had one big fine in over 25 years on the Swiss roads, despite trying my best to use my Ducati as it was designed to be used. That particular fine was a clear money-making thing - radar trap between villages on a very scenic lakeside road.
