1200 DVT Tank Bags And Tyre Pressures

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Himself, Oct 1, 2022.

  1. I collected my Ducati this morning. The forecast rain stayed away, and I've had an enjoyable day playing with the suspension and generally getting the Multistrada how I like it.

The rear was the main problem - nothing big, it just felt a tad nervous at times, so I changed the Touring suspension on the rear to softer and that seems to have mixed it.

Looking through the manual, I noticed the tyre pressures are 2.5bar (36PSI) front and rear. The dealer has set them to 36/42 which also explains the twitches from the rear end.

The book is rarely wrong, but I thought I'd check. Is 36/36 what most people are running, or was there an update?

Second question - There is a tank bag ring, but the previous owner has kept the bag. Can anyone identify which brand this is? It doesn't look like Givi or SW-Motech ...

    Thanks for the help.

  2. Front is fine, rear needs more umph'

Nice tank bag ring no idea of make. Undo it & it might have a brand or serial code on it you can search.

  3. Welcome to Multi ownership and the forum.
36/36psi is correct for rider only. 42/42 is for a bike loaded with panniers and/or a pillion passenger. Check the preload is set for rider only - a silhouette of a single helmet on the dash.
As you have Skyhook the bike shouldn't feel skittish. Maybe reset all settings to default and see how that goes, then alter if you wish. A common practice is altering the Enduro setting to whatever combination you fancy.
Sorry, I can't help with the tank ring.

  4. It's an Oxford tank bag ring.
