999 Tank Differences?

  1. Currently looking for a spare fuel tank for my 2004 999,does anyone know whether all 749/999 tanks will fit my bike,looking on ebay some appear to have 2 mounting pins at the front while others don't....advice welcome please.

  2. The mounting pins are removable but you will need them

  4. Don't fuck around just buy mine off of ebay. Red one with all the gubbings

  6. Best bet is to get a 749r tank as it has an extra 5 litres capacity .

  11. I got 1 for reasonable price , now I have to stop for fuel at same time as others I ride out with rather than being the first to ask for a stop.

  13. Red , it is a well known fact red is always faster,better more fuel efficient ect ect lol.

  14. Over yellow it is said often, yet erroneously, but there was a Kawasaki green 749R tank on Ebay last year off a race bike - it had obviously been done Kawasaki Green to beat the Red and Yellow ones ;)
