Hi Guys Has anyone bought a Carbon tank protector for their Multi? I have one on my 848 but don't like the way the top edges tend to lift off after some time. I have fitted the Motofix gel ones before and they really stick well. I'm thinking the carbon style will look better with the GT colour scheme. Also, still undecided whether to go for Bags Connection (SW Motech) or Givi xs307 tank lock tank bag, any thoughts?Vince:biggrin:
I have the Ducati matt black tank protector. Well made and seems stuck on well enough. Goes well with the matt silver paint on my 1200S touring. Also got the SW Motech tank bag. Fits very well, but quite small inside. You have to drill the base of the bag to fit the tank ring connector plate, but very well made and looks good. Easy to detach and refit to the bike, and the bag is raised on the ring, so never contacts the tank paintwork. You can just about see the tank protector in the shot below. Silver bike bottom left of the picture.
