Relax if possible and the bike will sort itself , however if you fight it and grip the handlebars tighter it will get worse. Iv had a really bad one on an sp1 and now I always have ohlins dampers on any bike I have owned , and any with basic dampers have been replaced with ohlins.
lol sorry , But I think this helps people like me last name is not Lowes, Rossi, or Foggy but I do believe in learning and passing knowledge, to make my riding safer, plus give me more confidence in what to do if things go wrong
Yeah as with riding on gravel & ice, just back the throttle off a tiny amount & the bike will right itself. If you tense up or reduce speed violently it'll end in tears. You should learn how to get the back wheel weaving about before worrying about low-side/high-sides.
I'd recommend a day with someone like Rapid Training or similar to help with your understanding and confidence on the road Well worth the money
I got one the other day on the 2nd outing on my 848sf. Its the first time I've had a proper one in 3 years of riding and no steering damper. Thick, raised white lines set it off when I overtook someone at speed. I've heard a million things/suggestions about what to do but I just fought it and pushed against the slap and kept the power the same and it stopped it pretty quick. It took all my strength though. Horrible feeling when you bike tries to throw you off!!
