This article, https://www.crash.net/wsbk/news/1006316/1/2023-worldsbk-rumour-mill-kawasaki-keen-continue-rea, seems to be the most current touting who is riding where. In infer from the article, if Taz is heading to WSBK and staying with Yamaha, Gil Motor Sport-Yamaha if they declare for 2023 looks to be the only seat available. It also begs the question about what teams will declare for the BSB in 2023 with 2 of the leading riders from 2 of the leading teams walking away. Andy
I heard yesterday, from someone with very close to the macams team, is he is doing a year in wss, with a back of the grid Honda wsbk team, with the promise of a wsbk ride the following season. Seems a little far fetched, but we'll see
I would be surprised if Taz got a Wsbk ride for 2023 after his 2022 season. I’m a big fan of Taz and the Mackenzies so I hope he can make it to the world stage but he does tend to be a little inconsistent. If you look at Bradley’s consistency this season in comparison to how Taz won the championship then you can see maybe why he didn’t immediately get a Wsbk ride this year. Wss with a promise of Wsbk would be a good route for him - it’s how Rea got into Wsbk and he didn’t win Bsb before making that move.
