Hi I've just put a termi stubby on my 2013 multi and it looks quite close to the tyre and on checking it last night after a ride the tyre on the right side wall is very warm. The can is about 2-3 inches from the tyre. Is that about right? And if possible does anyone have any pictures of there from the rear so I can compare
I don't own a Mutley but would have thought two to three inches would be plenty of clearance and not anything to worry about. People are generally interested in getting MORE heat into their tyres - maybe you've hit on something there?!
There is another thread on this subject and I posted a picture of my Akrapovic end can gap from the back wheel. It's about 4 to 5mm. You can get less than 3 inches on the standard end can so I wouldn't worry about it. Andy
Just checked mine and the exhaust is half an inch from the wall of the tyre if this helps. Like that from new and nearly 4k on the clock
