The can on my Termi system has split and cracked. Anyone know where i can get a replacemnt can for the fullbsystem.
Why would you not get it repaired out of interest, or at least contact Termi to see what they suggest or can do for you? Contacts - Termignoni
Dependant on age/mileage I’m sure the good chaps at termignoni would be more than happy to uphold their quality assurance fulfilments and look into replacing it for you? Going off their historic accolades these guys extrude confidence in the market place
@Red899 @Carr01, I’m afraid Termignoni will be contractually obliged to refer all queries and/or claims to Ducati, as Akrapovic are for the systems they developed for Ducati. Andy
Another here for shortening it a bit, just remember to use blind stainless rivets when you reassemble, not the cheap ally ones
I would shorten that too, may have split due to the packing collapsing, repacked mine a few years ago, not easy to get apart.
Ive contacted Termi who referred me to the UK suppliers. Im waiting for a reply from them. Im looking into shortening it but corncerned about cutting/drilling titanium. Im looking for a company that can work with Ti. Neither the bike nor exhaust have been dropped, it does however have 26,000miles on it. 16,000 in the last 18 months.
There's your problem mate, these Ducati's aren't designed for that kind of mileage. That exhaust would be immaculate if you'd done what the majority of us do, ride it to a local coffee shop, ride back and then polish it.
Hahahaha, yeah but its too much fun to be a garage queen. I was going to go German or Japanese for the mileage but the MTS caught my eye in the shop and I was sucked in by the old "its owned by Audi now mate" patter. I commute most days on it 70 ish miles. I look at swapping it for something more "practical"..... then I ride it again!!
My Termi system on my MTS 1200 was in perfect nick after 26,000 miles when I sold it back. in the UK and it seemed to still be so when I saw it for sale a few years after I sold it with over 30K miles on it. Ducati's over here on the Continent are regularly up for sale with 50 / 60,000 kms on them and still in top condition.
Any decent welder can fix it. Maybe you didn't drop it but someone did. You can see that from the direction of the rivet.
