I had a Titanium system fitted to my Multi recently along with the upmap, and took it for a spin for the first time on Monday. Well pleased with it, not to loud with the baffle in, haven't tried it without it yet and doesn't pop and bang on the over run like my standard one. Any way when I got back home I noticed around the end of the exhaust can and on the back of the number plate that the exhaust soot was dark, darker than my standard exhaust, which suggests to me its running rich. Has anyone else noticed this when they've fitted a Termi system, if so have you done anything about it. When I mentioned this to Riders, they told me that the standard map runs the engine lean, but as the Termi is freer breathing, the upmap runs it richer to be on the the safe side, now I don't know if this is correct or not. Any suggestions ?
I have the same set-up and can confirm it is a little sootier (is that a word?) than before but put that down to the map giving the bike enough fuel now rather than running lean for euro emissions regs.
If I make any more progress GZBZ and get caught I might get invited to stay in a small room for a while
To be fair, I don't think there's much if any performance improvements, reading Tobers old post after he'd had it fitted and had his bike dyno'd, there was actually a drop in BHP, but the main reason for the system was to get rid of the stupid flappy valve thing and to reduce a fair chunk of weight. I'm wondering if anyone has managed to crack the fuel mapping on the DVT yet ?
I've noticed the normally clear indicator lens has tarnished a bit with a combination of heat and exhaust gases on mine. I quite like the look of it so I've swapped it over for the left hand one. Hoping to balance it out!
