Had a few hours to kill this afternoon, having finished the big tank install so thought I'd slap the termi on: Still have the rear carbon panels, tail lights, indicators, etc. to sort out (Ducati install instructions are dire by the way) and need to fit exhaust bungs and tighten header bolts but it's largely fitted and the ecu is in so I'm smiling. Think I need to get the throttle position sensor reset but guess it will run ok if I give it enough gas!? Then I guess I ought to book it in with a remapper to make sure the ponies are all playing nicely together
What ecu you getting brass .........thought the ecu changes were for the bikes with magneti marelli ecus ?? thought the sp has the siemens ecu were you have to use power commander or similar ........ well thats what mine has anyhow ........ power commander and oxygen optimiser
I'm on the Siemens ecu - the big fat silver one - and have a shiny new performance one with my termi.
What its a performance siemens ecu ? not heard of them , have you got any links or details about it How do you rate the sp , i have a 58 plate 1100 s early engine , and a 2011 1100 sp and theres some things better on the old one i found , the suspension on the sp is far superior though
The ecu comes with the termi - it's in the parts catalogue (which I managed to get hold of having spent too much cash!) and hence don't have a link to it. I think you can buy the ecu separately although I seem to think they are around £1k so painfully expensive stand alone. Loving the evo sp - to the point I'm presently minded not to sell it which, given I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the vehicles I've owned, is going some! Downsides are buffeting, but that keeps top speed down which is why I switched from a gixxer; and low speed fuelling, but hopefully I can get that sorted on the rollers and possibly by dripping a tooth up front. Toying with trying some different tyres at some point as the supercorsas slip around a bit when wet or cold although they are great in the heat of summer....
Turned the key and she fired up straight away and with no errors on the dash Sounds an absolute beast! Single backfire on opening her up and then she was purring. I have a slight blow on the front header although nuts are still finger tight so that will go when I tighten everything up I suspect.
