I know the exhaust isn't M696/M796 specific, but is the ECU? Can I put a Termignoni w/ECU for a 696 on my 796 ABS? Or does the ECU need to be 796 ABS?
Or can I just buy the Termi's and get the stock ECU mapped? Do I need race ECU or does it just solve the need for going to get the bike mapped after putting the Termi's on?
Ecu is different between the different models. I had termi's on my 696 but went a different route on my 1100. I got some SC project cans which are much nicer in quality and then had my ecu mapped by cJS racing. The whole package is so much better and well worth the cash. Have a look at the Sc website for some nice cans and then try CJS. It might also be worth asking nelly at Cornerspeed as I think he can map the Siemens ecu now.
