I've been keeping an eye out for these too but have only seen the old style ones for sale. I can't help thinking the old ones look dated whereas the new ones looks awesome. I have ordered the new style ones from the dealer for mine but it was painful having to shell out that level of dough.
List price is about £1300 for the cans, and about £2400 for the full system. (Ouch!!) I am not actually sure exactly what I've ended up paying as I got a deal overall for the parts on top of the cost of the bike. But it was definitely less than the figure above.
Yep, you'll need to get your ecu reflashed to the DP spec. Quite a few places do this now. If you don't the fuelling will be out.
£1300 fitted and they said that's with a re-map ! does the bike need re-mapping if putting in a new ECU ? Richie
You shouldn't need a re-map as they should fit the DP ecu, but even the fuelling on them can be all over the place, so it would benefit from a re-map. I can't see why you'd pay for a DP Ecu and remap it tho.....why not just re-map the original ecu? Or was that their plan? And then sell your DP ecu on......call me sceptical but why would you.
Presuming the ECU is the DP one that's in the kit you don't need a remap. If they are saying you do they're talking out their arse!
Ouch! Or get a second hand set, have the ecu flashed for £100-500 depending if its flash or tune and have something which runs perfect
