Hi, Just bought a 1199s with standard exhaust, thinking of upgrading to Termignoni Slip On but does it make any difference in the lower RPM or is it not noticeable, don’t need HP or loud pipes but more nice driveablity is it worth 1400€ ? btw it does drive great but I know from other bikes with “open” exhaust the driveability can be upgraded. Apologies if it is already posted but didn’t find my answer.
to improve the low end rough running I can recommend a Rapid bike Evo which will cure this poor fuelling range, which is also due to the emissions regulation at the lower revs. an exhaust slip on kit should also have the Up-Map included which may also help this issue, but at a higher cost.. if you are having fuelling hiccups or very sporadic fuelling at the lower revs when taking off or in town etc, maybe a quick check of the MAP sensors is required as they control the low end fuelling.
@Nathanhu, Thanks MAP sensors are already exchanged what was visible in the service book, bike runs good so a real issue is not there. Will check the Rapid Bike option, advantage from the Termignoni - it looks better, saves some weight and sounds better without being too LOUD ofcourse downside is the cost.
@Kloekie all good, I have a Termi system plus the Rapid bike Evo and it seems to work well together so i think you have already made up your mind
@Nathanhu not completly but a Ducati without Termi’s ...... ;-) 1199s gets Desmo Service before delivery so it can be easy todo it now before delivery!
