I have a 796 with dealer fit Termignonis, ECU upgrade and Corse air filter. Bike was purchased with all 3 and original pipes not included - so its going to be a pain in the ass when MOT time ! I am looking to change to a street legal Akrapovik system. Anyone know following Will Akrapovics just bolt straight on with no need to change the icu and filter back to standard? Could I just use slip on Akropovic or would i need to replace full system?
I wouldn't bother unless you really want an Akrapovic, you can get a set of mutes for it. Put them in for the MoT and remove for the rest of the year. Something like this: PAIR OF EXHAUST MUTES FOR TRIUMPH T120 TT | eBay Though a few after market exhaust people do similar things that would fit your cans better
What has the noise level got to do with an MOT? Absolutely ****ing Nothing. Just get it MOT'd as you would with any other bike. There is no reason to put another system on for MOT, no need for baffles for MOT.
Most MOT tester will only give you an advisory for a loud exhaust. I had/have loud cans or full systems on all my bikes and never had an issue with a MOT even without baffles.
