Testing The Waters...

  1. Hey all,

With all this talk about fasteners rusting/getting chalky I've been looking at the parts manual for the 899 and managed to get details of the fasteners used for the foot pegs, yoke and controls so I can buy stainless steel alternatives.

Basically I was just wondering if I manage to get all of the fasteners for key bits (the above plus disks, callipers, pinch points, etc.) if people would want kits made up and sent out for them to swap their bits out?

I'm looking at A4-70 (316 stainless steel) versions with a cap head rather than the tapered tops like OEM kit. They'll look like:

I think that for all of them the cost will be about £30-50 (but waiting until I get the bike to check the fasteners that don't have thread sizes in the parts manual) delivered to a UK address so was wondering if anyone would like a kit if I manage to get them sorted? Also, any bolts that corrode badly which I've not mentioned and should be included just let me know?

    Cheers,

    Dan

  2. I would be interested.

  3. No worries, I'll get a full list of details for what's included and cost and things once I collect the bike on the 1st March and have time to sort the bolts.
