Checked up with my great friend Glen at Moto V the other day to see how the first years been for his business, nice to say it's been really tremendous with a full booking list all year round booked weeks ahead ( having said that he always, does his best to squeeze guys in even if it means working late) so don't be put off by him being so busy.. Did offer my services as an OAP apprentice but he declined ( I'm guessing that washing machine tale has left its mark! Or should I say stain...)
The one thing that has surprised him since he's been, Mono Posto, is the number of guys who have brought their cherished bikes to him and have said the only reason he didn't get to work on their bikes in the past is that they didn't like the dealer he once worked for! Now, they are very pleased to have a guy who just cares so much and is so knowledgeable too available to them again..

We are very lucky indeed for he's a wonderful techie and a truly talented Ducati expert with endless knowledge about the bikes we all love..

I'm more fortunate than most, as he's a longtime friend of mine...

Thank you to all those who have supported him so far it's been wonderful seeing both new and old faces..

So go visit him even if only for a chat! And before you know it he will be a good friend not only of yours but to your beloved bike too..

    Find him via his website

  3. I fully agree with you there.. The surprise part on Glens behalf was that the company he used to work for was always busy workshop wise, and it's not until now in the past year or so he's realised just how many people were out there with a great affection for Ducati, be it they already owned one or two, or that they wished they owned one, either way, many of these both old and new faces have gone to see Glen over the last year and have on a whole said the same thing, how truly glad they are to see him running his own workshop. Along with him being able to get genuine Ducati Factory parts, and offering the friendly smiley skilled service that they so appreciated in days past, the difference now is, you can speak directly with the Guy who's 20 years of factory trained excellence, with all the certificates including Desmocedici RR factory training too. You can talk to him one to one with no one trying to sell you anything, have a mug of tea and talk bikes, and specifically, your cherished bike..
There's not many workshops where you can walk in and chat to such an experienced man.. All the factory tools are there, along with all the diagnostic equipment..

Frankly a small piece of heaven, in Essex, without the pressure of sales..

Probably the quote that sums Glen and his business up is..

"He's only doing it, because he, like you and me too, truly loves, Ducati and bikes"
