The 996 comes home tomorrow

  1. As in the title the new OLD bike will be in my garage tomorrow:upyeah: 996 Bip 1998 mint with 6 thousand miles. Full History. Absolutely bog standard. I have bought some bits that will replace the unmarked parts that wear to keep them in good nick. So that is the last the Mrs will see of me for a few days. Strip clean for my own benefit and fit the new bits. Ride safe all Ken.

  2. Excellent. When my 2000 996 arrived in my garage earlier this year, i was up every morning at 5.30am and in the garage doing bits to it for a few hours before leaving for work each day. Managed to do belts, plugs, chain, sprockets, fuel filter, oil, oil filter, brake fluid, brake pads and a monoposto conversion all in the space of a week!

Nothing like that motivation of a good ride out at the weekend to get things done!

  6. Its a Corbin seat mate from the old USA. I have always wanted one but could never bring myself to pay for one. Last week on this Forum a member had this for sale. I just could not resist it. Thanks for your kind words the bike is very nice. I am looking forward to getting the beast on some dry roads.:upyeah: Ride safe Ken.
