Did some banking this morning and spotted that Curry's had been taking £6.50 from my account each month. Couldn't figure out what this was for then it dawned on me. I bought a new cooker a couple of months back and the sales-boy was trying to upsell their useless CarePlan's. I told him, no. He said he'd give me 'one month free and then you call to cancel' to which I said 'no' then took one of his eyes for impertinence (that bit didn't happen). Turns out that he did sign me up and they've been taking money from my account. Calling them didn't improve my bank holiday mood as they can't send me copy of my consent and can only send me terms & conditions. Well well well...
Indeed and this is why I expressly tell them that I do not want or consent to the CarePlan. I use that specific language.

The cooker was a nightmare from the beginning. Paid for delivery and installation (its a dual fuel). Currys installed and left without leaving any oven racks. I had to sort that out with Kenwood myself. Next the fan broke. They attempted to fix, failed. Called out again, required replacement fan (really?!) had to order part. Came to install part, Curry's engineer wasn't certified for gas so he left. Took another call out to get it fixed. This all done under warranty.
Just stop the payment tomorrow with your bank then threaten the store manager with litigation, and tell the media. Job jobbed
DD was killed as soon as I noticed it today. Have been quite explicit about my current requirement to resolve: Refund of all funds taken from my account plus the same again for my time. Formal complaint made in writing to DSG, my bank and carbon copy to FCA.
rbs did the same thing to me a few years back. do you want ppi sir? no thanks 3times during the interview/application. still they took the payments and when i inquired about the extra payment i was making for about 9months i was told it was interest on the interest. wtf got a nice we payout for that one.
Similar to what Halifax did to me a few years ago. I declined to take ppi on my credit card when I took it out. A year or so later the usual bull shirt leaflet was posted out with revised terms and conditions. I didn't really read it properly, it turns out the revised terms and condition automatically opted me in to ppi. It was added into the interest each month so you didn't notice. Joke is on them though, I drive my ppi refund to work every day.
Vodafone have tried charging me for spotify for 2 months running. Told them if they do it again I'm spitting the dummy out

salesman gets a comission on it so doesn't care what you say, they rely on most customers just cancelling the direct debit. Go in there on a lovely crowed saturday and blow your nut at the top of your voice. Shout stuff like court and watchdog etc, should be good for a laugh. Tell them you have the saleman conversation recorded as well with you saying no and it's going on youtube and being sent in to watchdog woman. failing that spray can and write cock piss partridge on the blokes car.
