They have a bike on their website I’m interested in. I’m near Gatwick so never been to the place and I don’t know anyone else who’s bought from there. Anyone have any experience, good or bad would be appreciated. Thanks.
Never been but heard many good reports of how friendly they are even if your penniless and just having a look
Not far from me and yes they are a very friendly dealer, worth going just to have a look around and no pressure to buy.
They low balled me on the part ex, wouldn't budge on the bike I was interested in and said they expect to make £2k per bike, so between my trade in and the profit out of the bike their selling circa £4k. Not out of me their not...
But their initial pricing is so extravagant that I would never even consider visiting in person. Realistic pricing would have me make the effort of travelling for a mooch and would always have the possibility of an accidental purchase.
I wouldn't contemplate going there, like you say high pricing but if i was in the area i would pop in for a droooool
Interesting you say that. I met a chap, probably about a year ago, who said he’d paid substantially less than asking price on a deal for what I think was 3 bikes. Biggest issue for me is they use some back street workshop round the corner from them for servicing and they don’t understand about Ducati warranties on ‘new’ bikes that aren’t ‘new’ because they came off an authorised dealer’s stock list so the warranty started on that date, not when they eventually move it on. Andy
Oh, don’t they use an authorised Ducati workshop then? I thought they did never seen them talk about full warranty either on zero miles bikes, are you thinking of the other place which was discussed last week? Can’t remember it’s name now
No, not an authorised Ducati workshop the last time I enquired and no I don’t mean the other place. Andy
I’ve no experience buying from them, but off on a tangent....... when i left school i started an apprenticeship there. It was called T Clark and partners. Primarily a car repair bodyshop. They sold new Yugo cars and had a department for the blue, 3 wheeler invalid cars, service and repair. Also a Dinitrol rust proofing department ( handy for the Yugo’s!) An internal car ramp mean’t you could drive upstairs to the glass pop up sunroof department ( imagine how many cars were ruined fitting those!), and vinyl roofs! They’ve gone up in the world a bit now!
