Joined the forum after ordering a V2S and all there was to do was wait... The expected delivery is June/July, but who knows. So, I got bored already and whipped up to Ducati today, probably to get my deposit back and move onto something else - well, it is riding weather! Within half an hour, I left owning a well looked after used 950S, with a guaranteed buy back for when the new one arrives. RESULT!
That's a win win win .... which dealer was it? I got my V2S travel last month - plenty of help here if you need any questions answering.
You must name and shame that Dealer for being so helpful ... its disgusting . Fancy going to a dealer and getting what you want , never heard the like. Fair play to them . You must have replied the same time as I posted , Preston well done .
Great result Burnsey. I know the cost doesn't matter to you as they are buying the bike back from you when your V2S arrives, but can I be cheeky and ask what you paid for the 950S (and what year it was)?
The cost did matter, as it still disappears from my bank to be fair. I was motivated to buy a sub £10k bike, so there were several to choose from. This is a 2019 touring with 17k and it was less than my ceiling price.
Bike landed and treated today to a deep clean, machine polish and ceramic coating to get me through summer. Off for a few days riding around the Welsh countryside this weekend...
Out that way on Sunday (Crossgates, Elan Valley, Devils Bridge, Llandovery etc), will give you wave if I see you.
Will be at Crossgates around 11, TwoHoots about 1 and The Owls Nest, Llandovery something like 3pm. Mixed group of about 8 bikes currently.
Some of you will recognise these locations. Covered around 600 miles over two days of great riding. First ever puncture on the way to Cardigan (now that's one odd town ) so ended up running down to M&P in Swansea to get a tyre, but with their workshop closed, over to Thunder Road in Bridgend for fitting. Some fantastic roads for sure...
I love Wales. Not as much since they’ve messed with the speed limits on some of my favorite roads though.
