  1. Looks awesome

  2. Oh no something else thrown in to the mix.

  3. ....sob.....i'm trying to not lust after more things...this thread needs a wallet warning

  4. it looks just like the others that have been floating around - be great, where do I sign

funny was just thinking of buying a new 1098SFS (there are still some 'left over') think I'll wait it out a bit

  5. Want that one

  6. Still not sure the Pani is the right engine for a naked. But what the hell, I would.

  7. Stunning - might need to cancel that S1000R order...

  8. Don't like the side panel under the tank, looks out of place.

  9. I probably would buy 1, just need to see what the headlight/ front end will look like 1st. Looks mega from the side view though.

  10. If it looked like that it'd be my next bike once I'm done with the pani.
Would need the handlebars raised a tad though!

  11. With no fairings to hide behind I would think once you hit 7k, unless you're bolted on to it you'll get blown off it!. I always thought the word 'streerfighter' was another word for 'crashed' I would imagine this idea was born from something that had been binned, but who cares it does look good!.

  12. I'd have thought they would tune it for more low down grunt. I reckon it would be awesome.

  13. To me that monocoque design looks crashed without its clothes on. With no frame to bind it all together visually it kind of looks like it's hanging on sky-hooks and might collapse if you sat on it.

I've no doubt the engine could be retuned for grunt without loosing the top end, but yes it would be somewhat wild beyond 7K... If I was rich I'd buy one though, purely because its mental. The world needs such things.

  14. I think I've seen that mock up before. The 1199 engine is almost certain to make an appearance in another bike but I suspect the next generation Multistrada is a more likely candidate than a streetfighter when Ducati have the Diavel and Monster with big 1200s now and seem to have dropped interest in the naked superbike.

I hope they do something as it would interest me. I went the 1290 route for the very reason that Ducati no longer made a bike in the style I wanted for solo mucking about.

They could make a 1290 style bike with the Pani engine, maybe some discreet trellis frame towards the front like the M821 and I think it would be a decent bike. Plenty of the other manufacturers are focussed on high end nakeds, BMW, Aprillia, KTM, Yamaha etc. all have a decent offering so the demand is there.

  15. That is a bad photoshop, 1199/899 streetfighter would be nice, but after riding an 899 it would need major retuning to suit this sort of bike. I really don't know what to replace my 848 sf with, the new superduke looks awesome but I can't see me spending £14k on one. Maybe KTM will do their usual upgrade and markdown last years models by a few £k, but my current thoughts are keep my sf.

  16. Wonder if we will hear of a new SF this year?

  17. If so the 1299 is surely the engine to use, not the 1199. A naked needs midrange.
Since they brought it out I've been telling myself I'd have a 1299 Pani if I had the money. But that's a pipe dream. But a 1299 SF would be a different matter. If that was on offer I'd definitely have one.

  18. No new streetfighter yet, so yesterday Ive jumped ship. After 4 Ducatis and a aprilia twin, I am now the proud owner of a Brutale 800 RR, and having done 125 miles on it yesterday, I don't think it was a bad decision. It's vastly different, but looks like it could be fun. Clutchless down changes coming into roundabouts are one less thing to think about and works really well even at half speed :)
