The very interesting and, at times, highly amusing thread "Swearing" has been blocked. Ridiculous. It was just about to run out of steam anyway. Maybe all that was needed (if anything) was to put a warning in the title for those that are easily offended by a certain swearword to look away now. The censors are too trigger happy in this instance IMHO.
Et, you complaining and locking because a thread becomes silly?! C'mon fella...lets the children play if they want.
Must we continue to go around the houses as to what is acceptable on our forum again? You all know I am exceptionally lenient in regard to content, so in return I would prefer it if you would not try and push the boundaries like the naughty boys at the back of the GCSE Maths class. A joke and a piss take are fine, but please can I ask you to respect the forum, the other members, myself and the rest of the (small) admin team. Thank you
There was no malicious content at all (apart from my Max Clifford line) - just joking and larking around. In a thread with a title of "Swearing", anyone would realise what words might be posted. Obviously, it's a case of knowing where to draw the line but in this case (that old fogey) El T got it wrong. Simples.
Hang on. I asked the OP some perfectly reasonable and relevant questions, to which I was hoping to get answers, or at the very least to learn something from his failure to respond. Blocking the thread has hit that on the head, it seems. Ho hum.
