To my untrained eye these are past their use by date. Could those with a trained eye confirm they are only good for the bin or otherwise? Would be much appreciated, cheers.
I've seen worse, but definitely starting to looking like a ninja star on the rear. If in doubt, usually a sign to replace (and new chain while you're at it).
They've been replaced by JT units and a DID chain. Was wondering if some numpty, if advertised that they came off a 748R, would fork out a few dollars for them - the R's are bloody rare here in Australia and some people will pay for anything that comes off one under the impression that it must be "special". But these might be too far gone - I suppose sharpening them up with a Dremmel (I have no qualms about dodginess) is out of the question?
To be serious, I think they are ok for a while yet so long as it’s road use. Track might be more of an issue but they still have life in then. From the pics I actually thought the front was worse than the rear. May well be wrong as I’m a few beers in.
I agree with @Expat Jack , the front is slightly more worn than the rear, mind you you’re lucky you managed to get it off . If youve no scruples I’d sell them, some mug might buy them.
