thinking of selling 999s

  1. im debating selling my 999s 2003 model with 3050 miles on it. has termis and power commander and few bits of carbon fibre but a just wondering really how much it is worth so i can look at what else is out there for similar money.

  2. I'd say about £5k for a low mileage 03 S... just as a guideline, assuming FSH and good condition?

When did you buy it and how much did you pay?

    Cheers,
    Dom

  3. Was thinking of more like 6.5k as full history and immaculate. Poss slightly optimistic. Lol. Paid think it was 5500 or similar a year ago and prices seem to have gone up. 5k would be one of cheapest s in country

  4. I can't think of any reason why used prices would be going up right now so if you paid £5,500 a year ago then I wouldn't expect to get any more than that. But don't take my word for it - there's one surefire way to find out...

  5. £5000-£5500

  6. As above £5000 to £5500 on a private sale probably about £4k on a trade in.

  7. I was on the verge of PX'ing my 999S for a new Triumph Explorer but at the last minute I couldn't bear to lose the Ducati. Everytime I would have opened the garage door afterwards I know I would have regreted it big time. For similar money anything else will bring you disappointment. Don't do it!

  8. i value mine at £5500 but it has about £4000 of extras, pipes wheels swing arm carbon, but i know at the end of the day a dealer will only give you book for it at best the f@£kers

  9. £6,500 is too much for an early 999.

To give it context, there are a few 2007 1098, with extra's, at £7,500.

Appreciate that yours is an S model, and they are £6,500 ish, but these tend to be the face lift version.

Would imagine high £5's of £6k. Means you've had a Ducati 999s for a year and not lost a penny, you may even make a few £'s

  10. looking around on bike trader and question being asked elsewhere if i choose to sell it i think id be hoping for 6500 to sell it. there an 04 on biketrader with 20000 miles on it for 6495 and thats the cheapest s for sale so i would expect an immaculate 03 version with 3000 miles would easily be worth 6500 for someone that wants a 999s

  11. That 04 one will never fetch that kind of money what things are advertised for and what things sell for are 2 completely different things. £6500 can get a post 05 facelifted model or an 848 and not much more will get you a 1098. I paid £3700 for my 03 999s 11k miles 12 months ago, ok it was a little on the rough side Im guessing now it stands me at £5500 but now has had a full refresh and looks like a facelift model.

    Good luck

  12. If I took the big pipes and carbon parts of my 1098s I would value it at about £6,500 so an early 999s would be at least £1k less than that I would expect.
