Just bought a thrashed 2001 M600 with 25,000 miles. Thought I'd cafe it for an around town daily user. Flat bars and monoposto seat. Anyone have any ideas? PS picky is my old 87 Alazzurra
Stick some clip ons on there, cafe racer should have low bars, raise the rear and reprofile the seat as its foam anyway, or fit another slimmer seat and tail chop the back end (RS125 may look nice). Add a Baines style bucket head fairing, 2-2 low pipes and its almost there
What shall I do with the pipes? It looks like they'll scrape going round corners. Sorry, my other bikes are 996's. Know nothing about cafes.
You have choices: high level cans but they won't look right on a cafe imo. Lower ones but that lift higher than standard (eBay may have some suppliers or used). Or you could get a custom link 2:1 made and put a single can on from almost any bike. Did that on my 620 monster. Google DSC DesmoDue race bikes and check out images, almost anything possible has been done with those over the years
