Throttle Spacer

  1. Do these actually work...I've been told they take up the slack in the housing, but I thought my 1260s multistrada is fly by wire...

  2. Had em on my 959. Worked a treat.

I think Missenden Flyer had a discount code on his YT channel if it helps.

  3. Got them on my 899 and work as intended. Fly by wire throttles still have a little play in them even though there are no cables so it removes that.

  4. 1260 Multistrada here and fitting one of these does make a difference IMHO. There is a mechanical link between the throttle tube and the potentiometer for the fly by wire throttle. This is just a dog engaging in a cut-out. For whatever reason Ducati decided to add a bit of play into this, maybe to mimic the slight slack in a real throttle cable. who knows... For me this created a little ambiguity between 'on' and 'off' throttle and combined with the directness of the Fi take-up made slow riding less smooth. Adding the spacer effectively eliminates this slop and makes this part of the control predictable. By no means cheap for what it is, a small plastic moulding, but for me at least worthy of the outlay.

Some on here have disagreed with the above, so your opinion may differ from mine...
