Did this the wrong way round and posted in the wanted section first, I know that's pretty bad form (sorry!). Been reading on the forum for a good while and researching the different models etc. I've had IL4's, the last being a GSXR 1000 but always wanted a Ducati, apart from the 999's, they didn't do it for me, but the 916's were a schoolboy pin up and the 1098 onwards are lovely. They've definately grown on me but not enough for me to want one! They do look like good value at the minute tho. So far all the 1198s' I've seen in my price range are about 3hrs away! Typical!

Sometimes wonder what happened to people that they cannot see how awesome the 749/999 are. Years ago I remember seeing one on a rainy back street in Sheffield, in black, parked up and thinking how could anyone leave such a beautiful thing neglected in the rain. For me the 916 is lovely but it does have a bit of a slapped snout about it that I really don't like.
So, put a deposit down on this today! It's gonna be an expensive week with a new ground anchor, chain, disc lock and abba stand purchased as well! Not to mention sodding insurance! Roll on week Saturday!!
