1260 Time To Move On.

  1. After 3 years and 31,000 miles I have said goodbye to my magnificent 1260s.
The Multi was my first Ducati and my dream bike. It turned out to be everything I hoped for, and more!
Apart from a small glitch early on with the quickshifter it never missed a beat. It has been the best bike I have ever owned, but I was ready for a change.

So I now have my first ever Moto Guzzi - a V85TT. Apart from waiting for something to happen when I open the throttle:laughing: I'm really enjoying it so far. Some are saying to me it will break down all the time, but the same people said that about the Ducati. Hopefully I will prove them wrong again!

I'm going to miss that surge of torque accelerating out of corners....but I won't miss the Desmo service!!

Thanks to all for the answers to my various questions, and for the useful tips I've picked up here over my time on here.

    Cheers Trev :upyeah:

  6. Interested to hear your thoughts on your V85. Its a bike that has interested me but the fact Moto Guzzi are about to release a water cooled version of the engine with Dohc and variable valve timing means there might be something even more interesting coming.

  7. You’ll get another one.

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow….but soon….and for the rest of your life….

    Meantime enjoy the guzzi!
