Bit of a tough one..i have had my bike 2 years stuck 10k on it and have been offerred pretty reasonable money on it... love it BUT the number of times its been in the dealers for warranty work is attrocious one ducati dealer offerred daft money and said that mileage for a 3 year old is 5k which is proper garage queen territory So my question is if i keep it another year stick another 6k on it where it is now 4 year old bike with 16k on it will the trade in value sink like a turd and be worth say 7k if im lucky? Or do i dump it now and get reasonable trade in from other places Any thoughts?
My warranty runs out in june so i would need to buy a 3rd party warranty...i wouldn't run this bike without one...based on my experience
Shit that's not good, hope mine behaves itself, been quite lucky so far with all my Duc's not had any major issues and only one minor issue on 848, immobiliser wire from ignition snapped.
Sounds like a simple choice to me, I couldn't have put up with what you have and to feel you need insurance for the next thing to go wrong, no way. I would get rid now while the offers are acceptable (if they are) and enjoy riding something reliable instead.
Get rid now mate dealers hate them with too many miles on them FACT your supposed to polish it not use it !!!!! will be worth scrap value if you use it anymore THINK its a DUCATI Thing !!!!!)
out of interest what kind of trade-in were you offered? i'm considering chopping in my 2012 with <4k on it but haven't started asking around for offers yet
