I decided to use the foul weather this morning as an opportunity to fit a radiator guard to my 2014 Multi GT. It's not quite as straightforward as it is with other models. The stumbling block is the brackets that the GT spotlights mount from, they impede access to the top of the radiator, making it much harder to hook the tabs over the top of the radiator. In the end, the easiest solution was to undo the two 10mm bolts that hold the top of the rad in place and then finesse the guard into place. This necessitated (for me anyway) removing the crash bars and the lower fairing for easier access. I'm pretty pleased with the rad guard, it's lightweight and fits flush over the radiator, good value for £28 inc shipping. Whilst I had easy access to the under fairing, I decided to do something about the corrosion on my spotlights and rad. The paint had bubbled and it all looked unsightly. I repainted the sides of the rad in black and spray painted the spotlights in a satin black base and 'cast iron' top coat. I used VHT engine paint and cured it with a heat gun between coats. I think it's a pretty close match to the frame and crash bars. I also fitted some Kriega fork seal covers. Obligatory 'A-side' bike picture.
R&G do a shock guard that does a similar job for the rear shock - does a great job, had one on over the winter as i don’t have the crud Catcher fitted (bike looks loads better without it and chain adjustments are much simple/quicker), worth a look if you’re still shopping.
