  1. I just used Ti taper head ones for mine.
Don’t go paying over the odds for them. All 4 should be less than £15. If you struggle, send me a pm and i’ll Sort some for you.

  2. I use the drilled hex heads for the calipers, lighter still and can be lock wired if needed.

FWIW ProBolt do a dual drive head which is a neat design IMO.

I've heard some horror stories about cheaper Ti bolts and caliper mounting bolts are about as safety critical as it gets.

  3. Had an interesting chat with Dave Degens when building a triton several years ago, he was saying that lots of people insist on using Ti head studs due to weight. The issue is that they don’t stretch as much as steel so the nuts don’t hold the torque and effectively become loose faster.
Not sure of this is bollox or not but made me think that of I ever went down the Ti route I’d be lockwiring everything...

  4. I've got a set for sale if interested. 20 quid posted. 55mm long, rolled threads. Never used, brand new. 1511621159324131853783.jpg

  5. That is so funny, I love it when someone starts a statement with "as an engineer" (or scientist, or whatever) and then writes a load of bollox. Brilliant :upyeah:

  6. What?!?!?!?

  7. Got Pro Bolt titanium caliper bolts on all 4 Ducatis, if for no other reason that they don't look like Stilton after a 1000 miles as they don't rely on passivate to stop them corroding. Part of my routine maintenance schedule is to check and clean the calipers and I have not as yet found any of the bolts not at the right torque. Andy
