It's been about three weeks since I've been out out on the bike because of family commitments and man flu, so it was nice to get out and about today for a run up to North Yorkshire to meet Nik the Greek and StickyJamFinger here The Manor Bikers Cafe run by Bikers in North Yorkshire.. The weather has been glorious all day. I took a varied route mixing town riding, good A roads and some crappy B roads. Went via Brighouse, Leeds, Harrogate, Ripon, Masham, Leyburn and finally on to Bellerby. Don't ask me which roads I went on because I just pointed Eva north and followed my nose. After a coffee and chat with Nik and SJF we left for a bit of a blat back to Ripon, at which point SJF left for home and I think Nik took a different route home. I went off to see my granddaughter in Leeds via Harrogate and had a cracking run back. The roads seemed quieter and more flowing on the way home so I managed to really enjoy myself. When I to back I leaned Eva, tightened up any loose bolts and put her back in the garage. I then vacuumed the car out. Which is a first :tongue: (it normally gets a valet when it goes for a service) Anyway it's been a good day, and thanks to Nik and SJF for their company today
The roads up North Yorkshire were great at the weekend, from Brighouse went upto Devils Bridge via the Trough of Bowland then to Haws and back home. Not a bobby to be seen all day Monday. Unlike Sundays ride to Matlock with all the 50 limits, camera vans and a bobby on a bike with a lazer gun just outside of Buxton !
You finding loose bolts regularly? I turned 1700 miles today and haven't had to tighten a single one yet... Any usual suspects?
I lost a couple of bolts from the heat shield a few months ago and they aren't cheap to replace. The replacements are loctited in but I take five mins after I clean it just to tighten up the bolts in the fairings. Just in case.
