Tool Chest

  1. I want to buy a wheeled tool chest.I don't want to spend a fortune because I don't spend a lot of time on spannering or use expensive tools.Would a Draper or Halfords be suitable for my basic needs?
    Thankyou for any thoughts or recommendations.

  4. of course i am overtaking them in the screwdrivers only for them to come flying past with the spanners....


    i have a snap on one from the 80's.....just seen how expensive they are now....

  5. my top box is snapy from the seventy's. been sat on an american pro (cheep) since the ninety's both perfect/overloaded and carted all over the country no probs.

  6. Top quality ones would obviously last a lifetime and would see me out.I only want one that is useable and not a piece of absolute rubbish.

  7. both are perfect for your needs. funnily enough i found myself in halfords 2weeks ago looking at roll cabs looked good quality to me.

  8. Halfords have a half price offer on one at the moment.If I am able I will pop over to our local one tomorrow.

  9. I've got a halfords roller cabinet and top box, had them both for 4-5 years now, no probs, draws still slide nicely on the roller bearings.
    It's Father's Day coming up you might be lucky and get some money off, bought mine on a deal which they do have from time to time.

  10. What are the orange ones they always have on the toot stands at BSB/WSB meets? They seem really good quality and being at a bike meet, discounted.

    Beta. This is what I use for the paddock and euro trackdays. The top section comes off and can be carried. Extremely well made with a good locking mechanism.

  20. Buy a KTM and you do get a bottle opener in the tool kit..
    On tool chests I thought some of the Clarke ones from Machinemart looked better quality than Halfords for very similar. money. Haven't owned one myself but I'm thinking about it. Clarke gear can be a bit hit and miss. Some things look cheap and nasty and some are good quality. Their tool chests look pretty good. Worth a look.
