Morning All, Just wondering if anybody can help.... I've recently took delivery of a new 1260 and being the nice person i am, when trading my 1200 DVT into my dealer i offered the lock barrel out of the top box i was keeping to give to the new owner. Only problem is, i gave them the barrel AND the barrel mount, so i now have no way of fitting the new lock barrel to my top box!! So.....question.....does anyone have a damaged top box / pannier they could remove the lock mount from and be willing to sell? I've highlighted the part in the image attached, which doesn't have an individual part number, i'm told you have to by a complete top box which is £400 I REALLY don't want to spend! Any help welcome. I did exactly the same thing, luckily I got the plastic bit back from the guy who bought my dvt, I think the top box and pannier mounts are slightly different? I know the pannier mounts need a lock nut and the top box is secured with a screw from the bottom, hope you get sorted
Thanks, i'll take the barrel out of my panniers today to see if the same mount is used. I'm trying to get it back from the new owner too, but i fear he's not playing ball, he's told the dealer that he's "storing the bike at his holiday home in Wales and cannot get there to retrieve the part" Keeping my fingers crossed anyway..
