Hi .on the new v4 multistrada Iv a mono key top plate I want to fasten to the rear grab rails.now I know on the 1260 there were extra rails fitted to support that .are these available for the v4 or is the rail strong enough to carry the top box without them fitted Cheers steve.
Should have said, mine has the OEM top box, the warning sticker says 5kg load max and don't go more than 112mph (!)
I also have an Ducati original topbox but no additional brackets like on my 1260 just the bracket with three connected points for the box which is hold by 4 bolds in the frame of the V4s
Got the topbox yesterday at 1000km services. At 170 km/hr the bikes now starts to wobble a little bit. Max speed with topbox according manual is 160 km/hr. So now I know why. Perhaps due to tyre pressure, I have to check again when the bike comes back from factory overhaul. (Valve guide perils).
