Last week, out of the blue, I received a telephone call from a guy called Giacomo from Ducati in Borgo Panigale inviting me to a product launch on the Amalfi coast in October. Fantastic, I thought. Yes please send me details I told him. Yesterday I received my official email invitation together detailing the cost of the trip. Don’t think I’ll bother!
Transfers from the airport and back (you have to book your own flight obviously ) 4 nights in a 5* hotel with breakfast and dinner, and you get to ride some new demo bikes. And that's it.........they really are taking the piss
Not sure it’s the same one but there’s another tour Ducati are offering at that ‘bargain price’ a visit to the factories of Ducati, Lamborghini and 2 others in the area. I had the email and soon as I saw the word ‘exclusive’ I pressed delete..
I think I preferred it when they were a niche brand rather than one that would do this sort of gouging.
Depends on the hotel I guess. There are plenty of hotels on that coast that are 1000 euros per night.
I’m sorry but no hotel is worth €1000 a night…….unless you get 3 hookers and a bag of coke to snort off their tits included in that price!
