Morning all, Had my mts12 since 2010, all good and have the fortune of riding on motorways to work almost everyday. Particularly on one part I am able to use quite a bit of the performance...that's 3,4,5th all the way... Anyway, have noticed the top mph and if you like the high revving attitude has somewhat reduced - say only 10% to the point that I am thinking something is not quite doing its job 100% - this is in the last month or so. My suspects are : throttle grip to body (have noticed that cables/assembly not smooth - may need lubbing/removing ? , airbox dislodged ? , carbs ? any other suggestions ? Any ideas - short of me running it to CJ mapping guy or a ducati dealer am not sure. Bike runs otherwise very smoothly / kept well etc.. bugs
It also might be worth checking that the rubber sleeve between the air pipe from the beak and the air manifold is fitted correctly.
I just had a thought while I was laying in the bath, you haven't inadvertently set you bike to urban mode have you? Meh I bet you wouldn't tell us if you had.
evening not carbs u right but i do have to check the throttle bodies as defo a sqeak there. have full termi and ecu so valve mech removed. yes did oil change and then attempted air filter but two screws didn't want to play amd didn't want to tke tank and airbox off to sort, suspect issue is the hose then...that's a whole 10% off the top end...hmm will also do throttle cable/body lube thanks bugs
Take the air filter out if you can and check it especially if the screws don't want to play - makes you wonder when was then last time it was out?
